Morven Park Primary School Creative Learning Journey begins!

Morven Park Primary School has put a bid in to work with Creative Partnerships BAM to develop the school's learning journey. Morven Park is all about learning today for a better tomorrow. The school believes that every child should experience a creative learning journey from the moment they start at the school to the time they leave it.

The school has asked for funding of £20 000 a year for 3 years from Creative Partnerships in order that they further develop creativity in the school, and to ensure that every child experiences creativity whilst at Morven Park. At the end of the funding period we envisiage that creativity at the school will be self sustaining, and that it's creative practice can be shared with other schools within the locality.

Children will be involved in all parts of our creative learning journey. Lewis has been involved in the application process, and is an important member of the presentation team. We envisage appointing creative practioners to work at the school, and potential candidates for this will be selected by a panel made of pupils, staff and governors. A working party made up of pupils and staff will plan and monitor our creative learning journey. The children will present their creativity to the school community and the wider local community through online blog diaries, and through the proposed Morven Park Creative Learning Journey Website. The children will be developing their film making skills to record the creative process, as well as exploring the film making process.

The school would like to create a sustainable Continual Professional Development Programme for creativity, and to make this accessible for all school within the local area.
